Kerry Rhodes with the help of Ideal PR Media held his 1st Annual Kerry Rhodes Celebrity Basketball Game & Weekend in
Bessemer, Alabama. This even brought over 20 celebrities to his home town making this the BIGGEST celebrity event his home town has EVER seen. Guests enjoyed a fun day with families and community officials at the
Jess Lanier Senior High School in
Bessemer, Alabama.

Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls sang the National Anthem and blew the roof off the building with her “melodic” and powerful voice.
The game was commentated by the hilarious Carl Payne who said a special prayer to open up the game asking God’s forgiveness for punishing him with such an extremely hot day.
The score board was kept by Melissa Ford and at the end of the game Marcus Paulk received the MVP award for his outstanding performance (go Marcus!).
Outstanding R&B singer Keke Wyatt was the honorary coach of the RHODES team while America’s Next Top Model Danielle “Dani” Evans coached the “HOLLYWOOD” team. In the end, the RHODES team won.

After the basketball game, all invited celebrities and VIP guests enjoyed a lavish dinner at Flemings Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
At the dinner, Kerry presented his mother and high school athletic coach with a bouquet of roses and each female celebrity guest a single yellow rose
to show appreciation for their participation in his event.
It just so happened to be Young B’s 16
th birthday so Kerry surprised her with a personal cake and had Keke Wyatt sing happy birthday
All VIP guest received a wonderful gift bag filled with wonderful gift items from Things Remembered, Unk Clothing, Live Mechanics Clothing, Cooyah Clothing, special wines, Absolute Vodka, commemorative sports water bottles, personalized jewelry, CD's from Zomba Music Group, Jets paraphernalia (hats, etc), and other fabulous items.
Kerry Rhodes of the NY Jets Launched his RHODES Foundation in July 2006 in New York City at the trendy 40/40 Club with the help of Vibe Magazine, MyVibe TV, KLS Cosmetics (Kimora Lee Simmons), Ideal PR and a host of others including celebrity guest friends and fellow athletes. The 1st Annual Celebrity Weekend and the Launch Party has helped to raise money to contribute to the scholarship fund Kerry Rhodes will distribute to high school seniors living in Bessemer, Alabama each year.
