SUEDE Shoes in the Summer? YES!

While suede is thought to be a fall or winter "exclusive," there is nothing wrong with wearing certain suedes in the spring or summer. In terms of shoes, people wear leather shoes all year-round. And technically, there is no difference in the way suede feels on your feet compared to leather. So if your concern is about "heat" do not be concerned.

However, open toe suede shoes may be more comfortable (mentally) to those who are looking to ease into the trend, or try it out. And yes, you can sneak a pair of booties with the heels out or the toes out in the summer time. Wearing suede in the spring in risky because of the rain, but just check the weather report, and if you are concerned, bring a pair of back up non-suede shoes in case of an unexpected downpour.

Bright colored open toe or open heel suede shoes are perfect for the summer. Flip-flops, sandals and single strap pumps are flooding the summer streets. Do you have a favorite pair of suede shoes you have worn in the summer?

Fashion Favorites From 2016 BET Awards

1. Jesse Williams was a complete winner. Not only was his choice of attire a complete 10, but his acceptance speech was incredible. If you are not "WOKE" after hearing that, something is wrong.

2. Mya was radiant in yellow. This ensemble is classy, on-trend, and is an amazing color on her. We adore yellow.

3. Mayte was simply flawless. She started the night looking great on the red carpet, and ended the show on stage with the epic performance by Sheila E as part of a tribute to the late, great PRINCE.

4. LisaRaye was perfect in her signature white. She sparkled and shined with a pop of purple in her hair in honor of PRINCE.

5. Cory Hardrict  was suave and drop dead gorgeous (You go Tia!) in his fashionable tuxedo. We are so proud and happy for his recent screen projects.

6. Jeff Friday and his beautiful wife Nicole, one of our favorite couples graced the red carpet in classy style. Jeff's suit was a great choice and Nicole's shoes...stop the press!

7. Regina Hall was killing it in her black dress, and Morris Chestnut was a nice accessory. Looking forward to their new movie in September 2016 ("When the Bough Breaks).

8. MC Lyte stepped out on the carpet with a very elegant and upscale look, which she wears very well. We love this look on her.

9. Tosha Smith rocked the red carpet with her African patterned jumper and hair twists.

Not So Favorite...
And while we appreciate the artistic nature of Janelle Monáe   we were not impressed with her red carpet attire or her performance...Hey...the hat was ALL WRONG. SMH.

SAVOR: An American Craft Beer Experience

The IDEAL Magazine's "IDEAL 10"

(click on article to enlarge and download)

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be marking this off on my calendar as a must attend annual event. My goal is to get more people to attend with me each year that and create more #BeerNewbie's like myself :-)
I was not able to make it to all of the tables, and I was disappointed I didn't get to taste the shrimp and grits, but I am getting my game plan in order for SAVOR 2017 for sure. Thankfully I met a group of guys from "Craft Beer Nation," and they showed me the ropes. We connected with Brittany from Atlanta and had a blast. I ended my evening with a glass of Kirsch Gose Ale, which was DELISH!!! Be sure to mark your calendar and check the website for ticket sales. SAVOR typically happens around the beginning of June. To learn more about SAVOR visit www.savorcraftbeer.com

Each person who attended SAVOR had the chance to enjoy
  • Craft beer and food small plate pairings—a variety of food items and two-ounce tastings of craft beer specifically paired to illustrate how well craft beer and food complement one another
  • Unlimited non-alcoholic beverages
  • A variety of artisan cheese samples provided by members of the American Cheese Society
  • A variety of oysters on the half shell provided by The Choptank Oyster Company
  • The opportunity to meet and talk with the owners/brewers of the breweries participating in the event
  • A commemorative tasting glass
  • An event program with room for tasting notes
  • An exit gift

Our IDEAL 10 Beers from this event are as follows: (listed in no particular order)
1.Kirsch Gose Ale
2.Cherry Kriek Belgian Fruit Beer
3.Rosetta Sour/Wild Ale
4.GoseFace Killah

Season 2 of WAGS...First Looks Seems Juicy! New Cast, New Drama (Video Inside)

WAGS -- Season: 2 -- Pictured: (l-r) Natalie Halcro, Olivia Pierson, Ashley North, Sasha Gates, Autumn Ajirotutu, Nicole Williams, Barbie Blank, Tia Shipman -- (Photo by: Brian Bowen Smith/Tommy Garcia/E! Entertainment)

There's a new lineup coming to E!'s reality series "WAGS" -- and we've got your first look!
"Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars" returns June 26, with a brand new crew. Sasha Gates, Barbie Blank, Autumn Ajirotutu, Nicole Williams, Natalie Halcro Olivia Pierson all return for the 12-episode seasonSeason One star Ashley North doesn't appear in the first few episode, so it is safe to assume she moved on and is not apart of season 2.  WAGS added two new WAGS (which are girlfriends and not wives), Tia Shipman (a model and actress from the Bold and the Beautiful) and Sophia Pierson (Olivia's sister, hence Natalie's cousin). And let us just say that from the "First Looks"of the first 3 episodes Sophia is doing the most! She is a spit fire that appears to have come in with an agenda to make a mess and with over 220k followers on Instagram she has a big audience to lay it in front of.
It appears Sophia feels the need to play the protector role and goes in on Autumn about rumors of her husband's actions (Seyi Ajirotutu). But trust and believe, Autumn always holds her own (Ya'll better learn not to come for Autumn chileee).
Newcomer Tia seems to make things spicy without making a direct effort, and maybe due to elements out of her control. However, she does appear to try to connect with one of the WAGS men in a very "innocent" way...or is it? Hmmmm...this season appears to have a few extra twists, turns and possible switches between the group.
As always, alliance change, and beef between WAGS where there was no beef before exists. Barbie plans her wedding and a HUGE wedding bomb gets drops when she goes to try on her wedding dress for a final selection...and about that wedding dress shopping...one of the WAGS commits the absolute "OH HELL TO THE NAW SHE DIDN'T" while in the wedding dress shop. Which demonstrates that some girlfriends don't convert to finance's and wives for a reason...there is a code of ethics ladies.
Sasha remains fierce and Olivia continues to be the most annoying person on the show with horrible hair and those ridiculous contacts.
Be sure to catch up on all of season 1 before season 2 hits the airwaves on E! Sunday, June 26th at 10:00pm  by visiting E!online, downloading the app on your phone or your Roku TV.
