Naja’s second collection is, yet again, a knock out that is sure to send women into a frenzy. Colombian born designer Catalina Girald was inspired by her childhood summers spent in the heritage rich Mexican countryside. Naja’s Fall 2014 collection is inspired by the artwork of Frida Kahlo, intricate patterns from 17th century Spanish churches, and elements of Mexican folklore.
Naja is surprising us with every new collection, constantly changing while remaining true to its promise of elaborate details and high quality fabric and production. The pattern details hide whimsical birds and monkeys along with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The interior prints on the bra cups, one of Naja's exclusive trademarks, come in bright turquoise and yellow with traditional Mexican heart and angel motifs, which will brighten anyone’s day.
The intricate pieces feature blue embroidery, which was personally hand-drawn by Catalina. The collection is feminine and charming but elegant and empowering. In keeping with Naja's promise to consumers, the collection remains fairly priced with bras ranging from $45 to $75 and panties at $12 to $24.
The Cheeky Knickers collection, Naja’s quirky line of hand-harvested Pima cotton panties, is anything but boring. Designed for the woman who is fun and daring, these panties feature photos and designs like no other on the market.
Designs include: Geishas walking through Tokyo's Red Light District (a montage that includes one of Ms. Girald's original photographs), Chihuahua panties, a spoof of Ms. Pacman walking through the shopping district in Paris, and a commemorative World Cup panty. Naja is also expanding its clientele in this collection, now offering bra sizes up to DDD, band sizes 36 and 2XL. Every woman deserves to be enveloped in Naja’s gorgeous collection. As always, each panty comes with inspirational quotes written inside the panties on the gusset.
A very special thanks to Dara Kaplan!
