Hats off to you Derek Lam for setting a new standard of using a very high percentage of models of color in your Fall Winter 2016 New York Fashion Week (#NYFW) runway show. You DID THAT. We are impressed. Not only with the gorgeous collection you presented, but the level of diversity you boldly presented in. Hands down...the Editor's Pick winner of the use of "People of Color Award" on the NYFW runway. We counted at least 12 different women of color in 14 looks during your show. That is almost half of the pieces shown, and we are thoroughly impressed. With such a huge talk around diversity in 2016, you Derek Lam, are WINNING. And I will surely be purchasing from your collection. (I would LOVE to own each one of these amazing pieces ;-)
