The IDEAL mag had the pleasure to attend the Neiman Marcus (Mazza Gallerie, Washington, DC/Chevy Chase) hosted Heart of Fashion charity event to benefit St. Jude on Saturday September 10, 2016. Over 30 thousand dollars was raised in less than 30 minutes. Hosted by DC's style guru Paul Wharton, and attended by many notables including Charrisse Jackson-Jordan (Real Housewives of Potomac) and Wanda Durant (mother of Kevin Durant, NBA), this runway show with a live and silent auction raised money for a good cause.
The highlight of the event was receiving the news that Leah Duggan, with the help and support of St. Jude is now cancer free (originally given less than 36 months to live)!!!
I was the lucky winner of original illustration art work created onsite by artist and DC resident Chris Clapp Logan, which comprises of 11 illustrations!!! And there is no way I am parting with these beauties. For those of you who know me, I adore fashion illustrations, so these talented pieces will be creatively displayed very soon.
The IDEAL mag will be featuring this event with a host of additional extras from the event in our fall/winter issue, so be on the look out!
