US Olympian Michael Walton Launches "Speak Out To Reach Out" April 14, 2007
Starting on April 14th, Michael Walton will launch his, "Speak Out to Reach Out" Tour! The tour, created in 2001, is a way to inspire young people in the Washington, DC and nearby areas to know the importance of self-awareness, self-motivation and self-esteem. With this year's theme, Do it B.I.G. (Believing In Goals), Michael plans to add some flavor and excitement to the tour with a great line up of driven and goal oriented young professionals on the tour to include. DJ Heat (WPGC-FM), who will also be the host of the event, Chris Styles (WITH-FM), Izzy Battle, and Nina 9 from XM Radio's show "The City" will all be in attendance. This fun-filled and life changing the tour will makes its way to various Middle and High Schools in Washington, DC, Prince Georges County, Maryland and the surrounding areas.
The theme of the tour is 'Do it B.I.G." (Believing In Goals). Michael will interact with the students and share his inspirational words and stories with the them. Izzy Battle and Nina 9 will be offer their motivational stories on what they have done in order to get to make it "B.I.G." from both a male and female point of view. Afterwards, students will have a chance to voice their opinions and ask questions on what they heard by participating in a Question & Answer session. They will also take part in a meet and greet after the event where they will receive autographs, give-a-
ways and have a chance to take pictures with Michael and the other guests. Taking off, Michael Walton is definitely making strides in making the youth of today better leaders for tomorrow by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to be something great.; all while Believing In Goals.

ABOUT MICAHEL WALTON
DC native Michael Walton is not only a start track and field athlete, but he is also an advocate for improving the lives of youth while instilling them the importance of hard work, dedication and Believing In (your) Goals. His mission is to provide positive alternates for DC and Prince Georges County youth and with Speak Out to Reach Out. Under the direction of legendary track & field coach Al Joyner, who also coached Florence Griffith Joyner, Michael's next goal is to practice and train for the 2008 Olympic Trials that will be held in June. In addition to athletics and his involvement with youth, America voted Michael as Washington DC's Hottest Bachelor on celebrity news show, "Inside Edition".
